I think the rule about country names still stamds, but some places do try to "get away with it" from time to time. The USA had a stamp which did not give its name but I suppose they thought that as it showed the Stars and Stripes and the White House, everyone would know who it was anyway!

yes they have a franchise from the government. these were more common in the 1990s but are on the decline now. They are all allocated a number which identifies them, here P-046. Not sure why it doesn't have a year - this is not usual.

The cover looks decorative to have many different airmail labels. However, old (not in use anymore) airmail label on the current (sent/cancelled in 2009) will definitely spoit the postal history of the cover.

Not only there may be some text missing on the WWF, but there is a huge difference in the 5.00 stamp. In the WWF website there is one brown chick. In the proper set, there are 2 white ones!

I also spend a lot of time looking for stamps to complete my frog collection. It is always a pleasure to find a stamp after long time searching.
For example I´m looking for one stamp from Paraguay issued on 28 th August 2001 about domestic wood art showing a carved frog. I did´nt find it till now. So I can understand you.

I believe this cover was routed through Canada on the way to Europe. It was cancelled by the Canadian Postal service before leaving Canada. Maybe it went through Montreal and was shipped to France from there. Just an idea.

These links don't get me there:
"On www.laposte.fr find you on the bottom the link L´actu timbrée. Then take you the picture under Philinfo. After the headline Partout en France are 3 links available: Bureaux de poste temporaires (special cancellation), 1er jour (first day cancellation), autres bureaux (other cancelations)."
I want to know WHAT postmarks will be available, and FOR HOW LONG AFTER that date, if that's the case.

Thanks for showing my cover on your blog and I'm glad you liked it.
The security perforation in the stamp is like an oak leaf because oak in german is "Eiche" and it's the "Eichstätt brief" (Letter from the "Eiche" town) !! So they have combined the two "Eiche" on the stamp in the design & the perforation !
